Badges are a way to show your interests, skills, and learning that happens outside the formal classroom environment. The IRSC Libraries have created badges using the Mozilla open badges ecosystem. These badges contain metadata making it easy for outsiders to check the credentialing badge issuer for compliance with stated learning objectives. Students can work through digital literacy and research badges at IRSC by visiting the LibGuide or meeting with a librarian to discuss options. The badges can be awarded to anyone who possesses the skills needed to earn the badge. Mozilla open badges can be displayed across the Internet in many networking sites used by recruiters to find the successful candidate for a position. In addition, the IRSC Libraries works in conjunction with the Campus Coalition Government to add badges to a student's co-curricular transcript. Make your work stand above the rest and start earning badges today.
