            <title>IB-OPVL &amp; Mao Lesson Plan</title>
            <link>http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=655440</link>
<description>This lesson plan is designed for a 9th or 10th grade student who is about to enter IB History. Teachers may utilize this lesson to help their students begin to analyze the authenticity of sources that they are given. The OPVL (Origin, Purpose, Value, Limitations) format that is followed throughout this lesson is consistent with the program in the Diploma Program (11th and 12th grade). This lesson uses Mao&#8217;s Hundred Flowers Campaign but the content itself is interchangeable. The skills that are taught during this lesson are the most important portion of this activity. </description>
