<title>Alice in Wonderland: Audio Exercises II</title>
            <link>http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=293300</link>
<description>This module contains some short listening exercises based on recordings and texts taken from Lewis Carroll&apos;s Alice in Wonderland. The texts used here are taken from Chapter 7 (A Mad Tea Party). The question types used are random gapfill exercises, in which the programme creates a fresh set of random gaps each time the quiz is taken. To fill in the gaps, the player must listen to the recordings, which can be paused or replayed. Although there are only 5 questions in this quiz, there are a total of 60 gaps to fill each time the quiz is taken, with the gaps redistributed if the quiz is taken a second time. Depending on the learner&apos;s listening and language abilities, this quiz can present a substantial challenge. As it only contains excerpts from the beginning of the chapter, it may also stimulate the learner to read the book. Date: 20/07/2007. Size: 5 questions / 1 activities.
