This site provides a variety of tests to assess information literacy skills in high school students. The tests are based on the 9th grade Ohio Academic Content Standards and the Information Literacy Standards laid out in Information Power, an American Library Association publication. It allows the administrator to choose from a variety of assessments which include two 30 question assessments and pairs of 10 question assessments which address specific areas of knowledge (defining a topic, ethical and legal use of information etc.) Once students have completed the assessments, the administrator can review reports on performance, and individual students may see which questions they answered correctly and incorrectly. The reports allow the administrator to decide which information literacy skills to focus on while teaching.
