<title>Telling the Time: Multiple Choice Quizzes</title>
            <link>http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=293273</link>
<description>This module uses the Qedoc Quiz Player&apos;s clock functions to create a set of multiple choice quizzes which test time telling. The four quizzes are sequenced from easy to hard. Children are tested on progressively more complex expressions of time. One of the key features of this module is the use of random time and clock problem generators. Every time a quiz is taken, it is automatically populated with a fresh set of questions. At the easiest level, additional help is given by using easier clockfaces and clockfaces which combine graphical and digital/verbal aids. Hourly intervals are also used, so only the most basic of time expressions are tested at this level. At the hardest level the following features are included: use of clockfaces with Roman numerals, time-telling down to 1-minute intervals, conversion between digital and verbal forms of expression, conversion between short and long forms of verbal expression. Multiple attempts are allowed. Questions timers are used to encourage learners to keep up the pace. Results are tracked over time so that parents can monitor progress. Attractive sound effects and graphics are used. A rewards system motivates learners to maintain progress. Date: 22/02/2007. Size: 73 questions / 6 activities. Qedoc Auto-rating: 224. </description>
