Global Warming Impact of Automobiles

The web-based module is designed to be used in conjunction with conventional classroom teaching. The module is suited primarily for a freshman level course. The module subject matter is arranged to develop in students an understanding of global warming and energy efficiency aspects of automobiles. Students are introduced to concepts related to wind resistance or drag force, wind resistance power, carbon dioxide production, global warming index and energy efficiency index. The interactive menu will allow students to determine drag force, carbon dioxide production and wind and tire resistance horse power as a function of vehicle type and speed of operation. The challenge problems are also included for practice. Some parts of modules can also be used for the dynamics and thermodynamics courses in engineering curriculum. A primer for chemical reaction balancing is given in the combustion chemistry section.

This websites main goal is to provide kids who are interested in know what Manufacturing is all about. Not only does the website provide information on what Manufacturing is, but also provides links to other helpful resources like books, videos, other websites, colleges across the state that provide manufacturing, and quizzes to test your knowledge. It also offers summer camps that let the kids get involved so they can see what engineering is like in a fun way. This website doesnt only have helpful tools and information just for students, but also for parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and volunteers.

As the worlds leading resource for information on manufacturing, youre sure to get your moneys worth from this organization if youre serious about it. It helps you understand the value of manufacturing in the world we live in today, and how it affects all of the industries that run our countries. Its main goal is to introduce upcoming students to what the field of engineering has to offer. Their library is a very useful tool in which a live librarian can assist helping you find the answers to all the tough questions you might have. Not only does it help you research topics, but also for careers. Students can also apply for scholarships.

The goal of this Network is to plan, produce and evaluate unique illustration, animation and visualization aids for students and teachers of computer programming, who are involved in the field of professional and/or higher education. By reducing complexity in learning computer programming these aids, referred as Learning Objects help the learners to better understand and master, and the teachers to better explain and illustrate the problems connected to the use of basic and advanced structures in computer programming. The need for the Network is based on the common observation that many students of computer programming encounter in their courses very serious learning-problems.For storing and sharing of resources the Network seeks to develop and implement a material bank platform. It is simply a neutral kernel for storing and sharing resources. The material bank will be accessible for all teaching institutions over the Internet. There are currently the following number of Learning Objects under each PCD path in CMB: JavaObject Oriented ProgrammingUser-Defined Classes 6Basic StructuresSelection 4Methods 4Arrays 9Loops 16Basics 4Database ProgrammingBasics 10Operating SystemsConcurrent ProgrammingBasic examples 8C++Basic StructuresFiles 3Selection 11Recursion 1Structures 8Loops 38Operators 3Arrays 9Pointers 10Functions 23Basics 13Object Oriented ProgrammingUser-Defined Classes 3Data StructuresBasics of Data Structures 8Strings 2AlgorithmsBasic ConceptsData Structures 2Embedded SystemsBasic ConceptsEmbedded Processors 3Total of 198 Learning Objects and 592 Plans in CMB.
