            <title>Coal Mining</title>
            <link>http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=86106</link>
<description>This is a basic site that introduces coal mining and some basic aspects of what miners do. The main site has 8 links to different types and styles. The links are only one page but they do offer a basic understanding of the different subdivisions of mining. Each link has a set of pictures and captions to help give a better example of what miners do. The site is very easy to navigate and to understand, the only down side that I could see was that when u wanted to look at another link, you had to press the back button on the search bar instead of another link to return to the main page. Some of the links include: different types of underground mines, difference between Room and Pillar mining, Longwall and service mining, and surface and underground miners at work. The site is simple enough that a user with basic understanding of a computer and internet could access and have a decent understanding of the subject at hand.</description>
