The students will be learning how to play touch football and collaborating and evaluating other students. The students will offer suggestions for strengths and weaknesess of other teams and provide feedback for how to improve their skill in the game. Also, students will learn how to take feedback and use it to improve their game. The use of video and the Moodle site are important aspects of this lesson. http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=547491 This lesson plan focus is for the Community Service AOI of the MYP years 9 and 10. The students will learn the skills of touch football and then have the responsibility of evaluating another team. The evaluation will consist of determining their strengths, weaknesess, and areas of improvement. The teams will practice their skills and try to improve their skills. The teams will then play a round robin tournament followed by a seeded double elimination tournament. Assessments will be from their evaluation of another team from watching video on Moodle and from teacher observation on the social construct of their actions.
