            <title>WritingFix</title>
            <link>http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=86039</link>
<description>WritingFix is an interactive writing assistance site that provides help to authors and students needing to get started writing fiction or editing and forming a research type paper. Their main attraction is the interactive Instant Plot Creator which allows you to choose a setting, character, and conflict to give you an idea to start writing from. They also have an interactive Random Prompt Generator which spits out ideas from other writers which may be good topics or ideas to start from when writing a story or paper. These little tools are very unique and something Ive never seen before. Along with these fun tools the site also features general writing help organized cleanly. I feel that the interactivity makes it a fine Merlot candidate alone but the extra writing resources make it even more valuable for any student.</description>
