Now imagine having hundreds of other educators and computer nerds building over a thousand such widgets that you can download and use for free! But first read their cartoon history http://www.konfabulator.com/cartoon/partOne.html to understand why this is important...and then explore some of the 1350 widgets already developed! These range from the purely fun (penguins waddling across your screen), to the utilitarian (onscreen timekeeper for tracking time you spend on projects; lowest gas prices in your area finder ), to the educational (news feeds in Bulgarian; universal keyboard..to type in any language). There are way too many webcams...and such...but the gems you find are worth the search!Note: Konfabulator is java-based. It is free to download and no longer requires a registration.

Each performance tip is announced through an image that precedes the tip. Most tips involve learning and study strategies problems although some tips focus on course management, Internet, or computer competency problems that students exhibit in the online course. JIT Performance Tips are inserted in individual emails, global emails, course announcements, Discussion Board forums, and prelections as needed to alert students to problems that they are exhibiting in the online course. They may be freely adopted or adapted for your course. By placing your Performance Tips in a word document, you can then cut and paste one or more whenever needed.
