4434Introductory Statistics
http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=880392
This textbook is designed as a one-semester introductory statistics course for general education students. The authors believe that the students in this course are best served by a focus on the core material and not by an exposure to a plethora of peripheral topics. Therefore in writing this book they sought to present material that comprises fully a central body of knowledge that is defined according to convention, realistic expectation with respect to course duration and students’ maturity level, and their professional judgment and experience.Orange Grove Texts Plus: Open Textbooks

http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=864657
The LATin Project is Latin America's Open Textbook Initiative is to publish and make available open textbooks in Spanish and Portuguese for Latin American schools and universities. The LATin Project, modeled after the Connexions(TM) Project, is an online collaborative writing project where teachers, professors, consultants, and experts, as a group community, share their teaching experiences, knowledge, and expertise in writing and publishing high-quality open textbooks that will be affordable and available to both students and educators.Their first open textbooks were released and made available in January 2014 and their goal is to eventually provide students with open textbooks in all areas/fields of study. The open textbook Creative Common License will be listed under the Latin American country that contributed/published the material content for the open textbook.BCcampus - OpenEd

http://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=845852
There are several formulas for solving the cubic equation. The earliest are usually credited to the sixteenth century mathematicians; del Ferro, Tartaglia and Cardano. Present day authors usually mention Tartaglia and Cardano, but del Ferro and Vieta also made important contributions. In this tutorial we choose to label our formulas with the names Tartaglia, Cardano, and Vieta. The Italian mathematicians Scipione del Ferro (1465–1526), Niccolò Tartaglia (1500–1557), Girolamo Cardano (1501–1576), Rafael Bombelli (1526-1572), and the French mathematician Franciscus Vieta (1540-1603), are credited with using a formula to calculating a real root of the depressed cubic equation . For convenience, we will include the possibility of the remaining two roots being complex, and thus begin a tutorial for exploring some to the possibilities for solving cubic equations. An introductory module for some of the history about cubic formulae is ״The Origin of Complex Numbers.״Calculus 2b - Real Functions in Several Variables
