AIDS, Educating - Raising Awareness - Building Community

AIDS, Educating Raising Awareness Building Communitywww.aids.orgThis is a very informative web site filled with important information from preventing HIV/AIDS to living with and treating the disease. Every year it seems as though deaths caused by this disease continue to increase dramatically among every age, race, color or sex, whether homosexual or heterosexual. The first step in understanding HIV/AIDS is to be educated. This web site does just that. You can access video presentations of doctors giving lectures and lessons on many different aspects of this disease. You can view information on numerous drugs that are currently being used to prolong the lives of people infected with AIDS, as well as common side affects that may occur. There is a wealth of periodicals and articles that people can access that deal with different topics associated with this disease. One of the most important lessons that this web site teaches is that it is possible to live a long life with AIDS thanks to many new medicines that are being developed and FDA approved everyday. There is also a link to a dating web site for singles that have tested positive for sexually transmitted diseases, www.positivesingles.com , to let them know that they are not alone in their fight and that there are millions of people out there dealing with the same issues. It also provides a way for them to get in touch with others, whether it is for conversation or getting back into the dating environment. This web site is very useful for everyone, from those who have tested positive to those who wish to remain educated. One of the things that I found to be most useful about this site was that there is a glossary of HIV/AIDS related terms for people who need help understanding the language commonly used among people whether in reading about the disease or in discussion. As long as this disease continues to kill millions of people every year I believe that we should all do our best to remain educated to prevent and hopefully someday bring an end to this horrible disease.

Healthy Women

This web site educates women of all ages on several issues that they face every day. It has important information on Breast Cancer and many other diseases. There are sections were you can talk with doctors and post questions or concerns to the web site. If a women needs to talk to someone in real time there is a toll free number that they can call. They even offer a free newsletter about womens health that can be sent directly to an E-mail address. In the health center section of the web site you can access information on many different medical conditions from A to Z. There are even quizzes that you can take part in to find out more about your health. Although its hard for many of us to understand much of the medical lingo thats out there, this web site has an extensive glossary packed with medical terminology to make it much easier for us. One of the things that I liked the most about this site was the columns section. Here you can find articles written by doctors on topics ranging from weight prevention tips to stress management. These are things that women struggle with everyday. Its not easy being a woman in this day and age, trying to balance work, home, and family. This web site is definitely beneficial in helping to achieve that balance. This web site is very easy to use and provides an enormous amount of information for women to reference in the never-ending battle to remain healthy.

The Dreams Foundation

If you have ever wondered if your dreams have any significance this is the perfect site for you to explore. One of the things that I found to be most interesting is that there are techniques described in detail for dream recollection. If you want to find out what your dreams mean then the first step would be remembering them. Everyone has nightmares yet I have never met anyone who enjoys them. Believe it or not there is actually a way to put an end to your nightmares. This site tells you what your bad dreams may mean and how to put an end to them. In the dream interpretation section of this site there is an Online Dream Dictionary. I found this to be quite interesting. I would have never guessed that in a dream, feet describe someones life path or that skin represents feelings. Although when I think about these things they do make sense. They also list several techniques to boost your dream consciousness such as Autosuggestion and visualization techniques. Not only does this web site explain the fantastic world of dreams, it also explains the not so nice world of sleeping disorders that millions of people struggle with daily. They have even included a dream questionnaire you can take part in to find out more about yourself and your dreams. I found this web site very easy to use and I had a lot of fun trying to find out what my own dreams mean. The language was very to understand and the Online Dream Dictionary was very interesting and helpful. I would recommend this web site to any one interested in the dream world.
