Text of Learning Exercise: Archive collections offer an unparalleled selection of non-fiction texts telling stories of people and places through time. Learners can select an area of interest to themselves based on a person, place or object and use a selection of paperbased and ICT resources to make their investigations. Working as a family brings perspectives from the different generations and helps to break down stereotypical reactions to events and people and build tolerance and understanding between the generations and different communities
