Will use reading material in addition to viewing samples of musical styles from YouTube. Will need to review student submitted samples of experimental music. |
| Text of Learning Exercise: |
Students in an independent setting will read through the assigned article. The article covers history, concepts, theories, and composition styles of the era. Once students have finished reading the article, they will be instructed to watch the two examples from YouTube. These examples highlight the compositions of two of the composers mentioned in the reading. Students will then make an educated comment on each clip with the hashtag “#exmusic” to distinguish their writing. This comment will be submitted to the instructor. |
