Exercise

1. Divide the class into small groups of 4 to 5 students.

2. Have one group member describe a secondary student with whom he or she has
recently worked.

3. Keeping the secondary student in mind, use the links provided on this Web
site (http://www.ncset.org) to locate pertinent information for establishing
goals in the areas of: (1) education, (2) employment, and (3) independent/
community living.

4. Have each group present its findings.
