Description: Using the SMARTboard technology, students will be able to display topographic maps of earth and Mars side by side to facilitate discussion and charting of observed similarities and differences.

Prerequisites Skills: Language Arts capabilities (reading and writing at ELD III level or higher), some computer experience, access to SMART board technology for physical manipulation of images.
Learning Objectives: Students will be able to form questions and draw conclusions comparing the topographical maps of Earth and Mars (showing critical thinking skills).
Technical Notes: SMART board technology of computer, multi-media projector and actual board for physical manipulation.
