Career Pathways: A Goal Directed Instructional Design Plan

This is a lesson plan designed to help students understand what the six Career Pathways are and to begin to be able to answer the question, “Is this career path right for me?” Six different Career Pathways and corresponding occupations are examined – Arts and Communication, Business, Management, Marketing & Technology, Engineering/Manufacturing & Industrial Technology, Health Sciences, Human Services, Natural Resources and Agriscience. These groupings provide a manageable way for students to become aware of the thousands of occupations available to them to pursue. In this lesson, students use technology to explore different careers and use technology to share and communicate information in an organized fashion.
