I have used the multicultural awareness quiz in my introductory sociology courses for years. I have students take the quiz, then give the answers, and then we have a discussion about the items that students were surprised about or have questions about. It's an effective way to get discussion going about social inequality in the U.S. today and a good change of pace from the usual sorts of classroom activities.
