Comment: This is a good place to send students to build an appreciation of the difficulties associated with understanding the past based on the limitations of history. The site reinforces the messages that all historical data is skewed by culture, and limited by incomplete or inaccurate recording. I send my students there as an exercise to postulate how current events myght be recorded and remembered in the future. They seem to better understand the importance of accuracy and detail in report writing.

Technical Remarks:

The sheer volume of material makes the use of all the material virtually impossible for most class room activities, but it is a very good place to send students for group projects.
