Comment: This is a great tutorial on how to use PsycINFO. It includes a break down of different topics in the order in which you would need to apply them. The tutorials are interactive and a woman's or a man's voice walks you through each step. After each tutorial there is a short quiz that allows you to test your knowledge of what you have learned. This is great for freshman and sophomores who are unfamiliar with how to begin a research paper. It breaks down the difference between a popular and a scholarly article which often seems to present problems for beginner researchers. Although there are a few sections that are specific to Georgia State University, those sections can be easily skipped. This should not deter anyone from using it though, because most of the tutorials are helpful for anyone and apply to anyone using PsycINFO.

Technical Remarks:

This tutorial was easy to use. Each section is also available in a PDF file so that they can be printed as handouts. You can also print the quizzes for use in class. It is very user friendly, and covers all of the important topics. I would recommend this for students and for teachers who are working with students who are writing their first research paper. It can also gives some helpful tips for experienced writers who have never learned about all of the helpful techniques PsycINFO offers.
