This looks like a great lesson. I think the technology is used in a way that is helpful and not artificial. Students may have to use PowerPoint and Excel in their futures be in higher education or in their careers. I like that they will be teaching each other a concept. This is another useful skill and real world application. I would recommend including a copy of the rubric you will be giving students. I might have them complete a peer review sheet, so that they can provide feedback to the author.
