The introductory video for students provides a detailed walkthough of how to navigate the modules this helps with useability and makes the site ease to follow. As well as the site is designed around the three principles of UDL.
These a great modules for covering the foundation of UDL. All the important content of UDL is covered in an effective way. I am using UDL as a framework for my dissertation, so I am familar with the concepts, but I still learned some things from this site.
The structure of the modules is laid out nicely as well as consistent. The interactions found within the modules help make the site engaging and break up the text to keep students interested. The assignments and disucssion questions are designed to have students reflect and show their knowledge of the subject.
I found the UDL checklist very helpful since I am in the process of designing a UDL lesson for my dissertation study.
This is a great tool to use with preparing teachers to design UDL friendly lessons. In addition, the module states up front how long it should take to complete, so that busy teachers can schedule accordingly.
Thank you for designing this site. I will pass it along to the education professors I work with who teach UDL.
The video for "Details for Students" many of the close-ups are out of focus. In addition, a button/link should be found in module 1 and module 2 to take you back to the beginning page.
