I regularly use this in my undergraduate and graduate marketing classes (principles, marketing research, e-commerce), although any discipline that requires students to find specific information on the Internet could benefit.
This tutorial includes drills and practices, allowing students to build sophisticated search inquiries, thus increasing the effectiveness and proficiency of their search strategies. I usually devote one class period to introducing web searching and allowing hands-on use of the tutorial in a computer lab setting. I then usually assign an assignment that requires them to find very specific information on the Internet.
Most student think they are already proficient at searching the Web, but I find that most students are only proficient at general searching. This resource is great because it provides them with tools and information to enhance the effectiveness of their research on the Web.
The tool is very easy to use, well-designed, and the content is excellent.
