This web site is a relatively self-contained module for teaching/learning
traditional Chinese character writing. It is suitable for beginning Chinese.
Each character is illustrated in a 4? x 4? square with animated stroke order,
pronunciation, and English translation. Overall, the module is visually
stimulating and engaging. It can be used as a supplemental instructional tool
for teachers or an independent study tool for self-motivated learners.

Technical Remarks:
|
RealPlayer (audio software) is required to listen to the pronunciation. If the
user?s browser does not have a decoder for viewing Chinese characters (coded in
Big5), then an external decoder such as NJStar or AsiaSurf is needed.
