Comment: I have used this site when teaching a course on Assistive Technology to special
education credential candidates. Students have found that it contains several
helpful links for additional information. The section I have found most useful
is the one labeled "Funding Information." There are a number of good
articles included here which explain the historical context of Assistive
Technology. These include "The ADA and Assistive Technology," "Special Education
and Assistive Technology," "Assistive Technology and the IEP," and "Independent
Education Evaluations and AT."

Technical Remarks:

This site has not been updated since April, 1999. Also, it does not include the
latest legislative updates related to Assistive Technology from IDEA '97.
