The material is a website composed of five different online cognitive assessments for the purpose of engaging the public in psychology research. The primary purpose of the site is to allow participants to be involved in the scientific process by explaining after each assessment the results and significance of the studies, in addition to collecting data. It can be used as an online supplement to a research/methods course aimed at learning about human subject studies.
Each group of studies is associated with a research participant information sheet that explains the objective of the research and confirms Human Subjects approval. Participants will be provided feedback and will be able to view their results in comparison to those of others. The assessments address attention, memory, and problem solving.
