Poetryexpress is a workspace for poets. It is suitable for beginners and experienced writers because there are fifteen types of poem assignments, with specific criteria for each. Users are able to create a personal accounts and invite other to join this website. As a beginner this can serve as a "practice or skill-builder' space and for the experience it can serve as a repository for works to receive feedback, to revise, publish, share and promote. In addition, there is a space for one to create and sustain a personal blog showcasing publishable works. And, tips and techniques for poets as reminders.

The site is authored by Chuck Guilford, an emeritus professor and poet.
