Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
Beyond actual classroom conversations, Floop provides a systematic way to provide feedback to students to keep them learning and moving forward. Floop would be appropriate to use after a well-developed assignment has been given and students have opportunities to submit work along the way. Scaffolding the assignment content and challenges with Floop would help students become critical and creative thinkers. Students can view feedback and respond instantly or ask questions in privately.
Concerns:
When Floop is used for peer reviews, teachers cannot respond. So parameters for feedback from peers needs to be clearly established before being given.
