The first chapter (in part one) is about wisdom and the definition of wisdom; this is the beginning to frame how we create and work with organizations, and how we can make these organizations wise.
The textbook is premised on the assumption that wisdom is an attribute we can develop and it lays out a framework to do so.
Footnotes are included, an introduction of what will be discussed in the chapter is provided, exercises are provided, and the goals of the chapters are provided.
Key takeaways are provided for different sections, and a summary of what was covered in the chapter is provided at the end of the chapter, for example, in part one. At the beginning of part two, learning objectives are provided.
The author offers access to other course documents on demand such as course outlines, assignment ideas, grading rubrics, test banks, and experiences the author had in teaching this material.

Concerns:

Issues on diversity of ideas, internet communication technologies and borderless communication have to be included in a comprehensive manner;
Other related variables - in addition to values, rationality and power - must be given consideration.

The goals of the chapter, the review material, and the review at the end of what was covered reinforce the content of the chapters.
In part two, chapter 5, learning objectives are specified at the beginning and it provides the sequence of the chapter.
The author makes a clear differentiation between knowledge and wisdom.
This 'managerial wisdom' teaching-learning goals and consequent uses are reasonably identified with its consistent format;
This ebook increases the potential for student learning and promotes conceptual understanding, particularly via the assessment of managerial wisdom through values, rationality, and power;

Concerns:

The item cannot be used in a variety of ways to achieve teaching and learning goals since it is 'boxed' within the framework of three dominant variables only.

The textbook has to consider possible different and competing ways of utilizing its core and complementary contents.
This competing ways of utilizing must be presented without complexity and duplicity.

Other Issues and Comments:

This book provides more emphasis on wisdom, knowledge, and values than typically found in textbooks dealing with organizational behavior.
For the purposes of this review, chapters 1-6 were included in the review.
