This app could be used either individually as a homework assignment to replace a lecture or provide practice for a lecture as the material is self-paced and the interactive elements provide students with a chance for mastery.
Another option, would be to have students read/interact with the chapter in teams or groups in the classroom (if iPads are available.)
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
This goal of this app is to explore the birth of the United States. Students using this app will be able to:
The topics covered in the "The Revolution are also covered in a variety of middle-school and high school history courses, and even some lower level college courses, so the user would need to determine where this activity would be appropriate.

As described in the Goals area of this review, the interactive guide includes very significant events in US history depicted in a well-organized and interesting manner supplemented with high quality graphics and interactions. The learning material meets the requirements for core curriculum of AP US History.
Content quality is excellent and well-cited at the end of the material.
The variety of interactive options such as flashcards, touching a square to learn more about a specific concept, clickable maps that change with a progression in time, and interactive images that include actual art works with blue squares that depict specific information about a small piece of the painting (often intriquing! Check out "The Bloody Massacre" engraving on page 7) make this teaching tool much more engaging for the reader than a print book.
The tool is effective for teaching (once the technical issues are resolved.)
The users using Mac are to use macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with the Apple M1 chip. If not, it will be difficult to use the app.
The material is well organized with top-notch graphic design. The navigability is very straight forward except for the concern mentioned below.
The app was created in 2011 and is being reviewed in 2022 which may be the reason the interactive "touch the red circles" activity for the Review Quiz: The Battles of the War opened just a small, black window rather than the list of answer choices necessary to take the quiz.
