This type of information is just what student teachers and teachers can use and immediately implement in curriculum development. The concrete examples provided on this site make them ideal for preservice teachers to review and try out for themselves. Professors would be able to use this site to develop online assignments for education majors without much extensive preparation of the students to enable them to effectively use the site. Education majors in all areas (elementary, middle school, or secondary) can locate scripts that will work with students in grades K-12 in a variety of subject s. Upper elementary students through full-time educators will appreciate the multicultural examples of reader's theater found under the Reader's Theater Editions.

Shepard?s expertise in Readers? Theater is derived from his extensive experience as a professional actor in Chamber Readers and as the author of one of the premier collections of Reader?s Theater scripts. Shepard is also an award winning children?s author. In 1993 he published Stories on Stage: Scripts for Reader's Theater, (H. W. Wilson), considered by many to be the premier collection of Reader's Theater scripts.
