| Overview: |
This is part of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville Math Archives ``Topics in Mathematics'' collection of links to mathematical material on the Web. |
| Learning Goals: |
A resource for further exploration. |
| Target Student Population: |
This is like the index of a Geometry Encyclopedia. The items are marked with ``icons to quickly show the level of mathematical background to read the materials'' ranging from K-6 to Graduate and Professional. |
| Prerequisite Knowledge or Skills: |
None. |
| Type of Material: |
A large list of links to geometry-related sites on the World Wide Web. |
| Recommended Uses: |
An exploration of geometry at any level could begin here. |
| Technical Requirements: |
Any browser will work. |
|
|
|
| Strengths: |
Comprehensive and useful. |
| Concerns: |
Is this site being updated? The copyright is 1995-2001. 13 links are completely ``broken'', and another 12 lead to redirection pages. (The latter occurs, for example, with any link to a Math Forum page, since the Forum's server has changed from forum.swarthmore.edu to mathforum.org.) |

Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool |
Rating: |
|
| Strengths: |
For a teacher or a student looking for web-based geometry material, this page puts a very large number (over 150) of sites just a click away. The icons allow one to know beforehand the level of the material and the technology (Java, etc.) it requires. The "keywords" give useful information beyond the title. |
| Concerns: |
The site would deserve a higher rating if it were regularly updated, but the usefulness of a link index such as this depends greatly on the links being kept current. |

None. |
