|
| Strengths: |
This is an excellent resource for a short concise description of terms and concepts. Provides concise and accurate definitions on many technical concepts in ?Computer and Internet? , information technology and literacy.
|
| Concerns: |
Use as a reference with more descriptive material. Is still incomplete in some major areas and has the occasional over-simplification or mildly misleading definition.

Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool |
Rating: |
|
| Strengths: |
It is a well-organized reference resource for computer, Internet, web, and information technology and literacy, generally provides concise and accurate definitions, and is convenient for browsing related concepts..
|
| Concerns: |
Since it is a reference and not a lesson or set of lessons, it cannot be used in the same way as such material. And it's not interactive (and not intended to be) so one would have to include that aspect in any learning materials based on it or using it.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty |
Rating: |
|
| Strengths: |
Has a good search capability and is organized by topic. Has pictures and diagrams when necessary. New terms are dated and organized. Has a term of the day feature. It has good (hyper-) linking between related concepts, very helpful lists of links to "related categories" and "related terms", and often a list of links to web pages with other descriptive material or further lists of links. Diagrams are included for some items. It includes a menu of items such as new terms that have been added (and each such page gives the date of addition), a search tool, etc.
|
| Concerns: |
Somewhat cluttered appearance, and perhaps tries to do too much on one page.
