| Overview: |
This site is a vast resource containing numerous links useful to the aspiring entrepreneur. The information runs the gamut from how to write a business plan, to securing venture capital, and immigration law. Additional items include tax law, marketing research, extending credit, intellectual property, and much more.
It also has an interactive feature which allows the user to converse with other entreprenuers that have subscribed to the site. Individuals can also submit their own business plans for critique.
|
| Learning Goals: |
Because this is a resource site, the learning goals are not specific. The learning goals are of course to aid the aspiring entrepreneur seeking information for starting up a new business. An instructor, however, could use the site by creating assignments and targeting certain links or sections.

|
|
|
| Strengths: |
There is a wide variety of types of information here.
The information provided in the site is written in easy to understand language, and informed by academic and business expertise. For example, the links on writing a business plan are based on sound advice and offer useful tips for the student-entreprenuer.
|
| Concerns: |
Since the site has a vast amount of resources, it is difficult to review each and every link. There are multiple disciplines represented on the site (Marketing, Taxation, Strategy, Small Business, Law, etc.) so it makes it difficult to provide an evaluation on the entire contents.
It would be helpful if there were some sort of guide for where to get started for the entrepreneur.

Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool |
Rating: |
|
| Strengths: |
The site offers numerous opportunities as a teaching tool. It is really up to the creativity and adaptability of the instructor. There is so much material on this site, that it should be fairly easy to create a lesson plan/assignment targeted to a particular section. It could be tied to a student project on small business start-ups, venture capital, entreprenuership/business planning, etc.
|
| Concerns: |
The only concern is how overwhelming the site is in terms of the wealth of material. However, the site is well designed so that one can navigate quite easily.
There are no guidelines for "teaching" provided, so the instructor will have to create assignments for the students.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty |
Rating: |
|
| Strengths: |
The site is very well organized despite the fact that the page hosts hundreds of links. The site is divided into useful categories in bold which aids in the navigation.
|
| Concerns: |
Without some guidance or direction from an instructor, the student could simply be overwhelmed or lost in the site. The site is very "busy" and may be confusing to students.
