Overview: This site is a Web site devoted to Telemark Skiing. Within this site is an
emphasis on Knee injuries associated with Telemark Sk iing. The site presents
photos and a few animations of MCL ad ACL injuries
caused by telemark skiing. The site also provides some research data on factors
associated with skiing injuries and how to avoid these injuries.
Learning Goals: Learning goals are not specified but seem to be learning about what causes and
how to avoid common knee injuries associated with telemark skiing.
Target Student Population: Students in health professions that deal with knee injuries or work with skiers
could make use of this material.
Prerequisite Knowledge or Skills: Students will need to know knee structure and function.
Type of Material: Photos, graphs, and animations. There is also an MPV video of correct technique
demonstration.
