Evaluation and Observation

Content Quality

Rating: 4.7 stars
Strengths: Galileo Educational Network website provides a valid concept of the
inquiry-based teaching. This website also includes clear instructions for
teachers to develop inquiry-based teaching projects for their students (grades
k-12).

The research conducted by the Galileo Educational Network Association (GENA)
into the developing and teaching of inquiry-based teaching provides the
grounding of the GENA information in research.
Valid presentatins of the Inquiry Based Teaching method. The GENA group,
privides a wealth of research that supports the Inquiry Based teaching and
learning endeavors.
The easy to follow instructions for the novice allows them to sequentally build
an Inquiry Based lesson. The possibilities for use of interactive technology is
encouraged by the format used to teach.
Learning projects presented only serve as a model for what is possible.
Concerns: The reader needs to be directed to the section "Series on the Nature Of
Inquiry". If this is done, then the novice, or will not waste time going
through information or links that they may not understand.

developed following the study of this learning object. The extensive resources
given are excellent and will provide the user with additional ideas for teaching
and learning projects.

through information or links that they may not understand.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty

Rating: 4.8 stars
Strengths: Easily navigated. Download links for Adobe and Real Player are provided.
Concerns: The first time user, and/or novice to Inquiry-Based Teaching and Learning could
waste time and energy with pointing and clicking if they do not know where to

this reviewer as very important.
