Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
The material is interactive. The presentation is consistent and easy to understand. The graphics are clean, clear and make good use of animation and audio to demonstrate the concepts under discussion. The site is modular; teachers may easily employ parts of the site or whole sections in their own instructional sequence. Modules are housed on discrete pages and can be linked directly from an instructor's course space.
The site requires a larger context provided by a teacher. The sequence of demonstrations is sometimes uneven vis-a-vis level of difficulty (e.g., rhythm).
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
This site is easy to use. Navigation through the menus is logical. There is a help icon on each page that explains how to use that page.
"Previous page" link always returns the user to the home page and is not obviously visible. Definition of "lesson," "trainer," and "utility" on the Home page would be helpful.
