Evaluation and Observation

Content Quality

Rating: 3.75 stars
Strengths: Comprehensive overview of EI, why an organization would want to measure individual employee EI, the problems with self-assessment as opposed to a 360 degree and various measures. Links and citations for sources. Very professional slides.
Concerns: The last half of the presentation is an "infomercial" for this particular consulting firm's product.

Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool

Rating: 3 stars
Strengths: Professional powerpoints.
Concerns: Would be improved as an instructional/learning instrument if the following were identified and included early: Learning objectives. Prerequisite knowledge. Relationships among concepts.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty

Rating: 3 stars
Strengths: Nice summary of the concepts and very nice slides. As the basis for an introductory lecture on EI this would be appropriate.
Concerns: "Infomercial"

Other Issues and Comments: No other issues.
