Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool |
Rating: |
|
| Strengths: |
The potential effectiveness of the course is high. Each module does a good job of introducing individual Web 2.0 tools and provides well designed chunks of information about each type of tool, how and why it is useful, and examples. Each module also includes a More Curious section with links participants can use to learn more about each category of Web 2.0 tools.
- Material facilitates learning new technology & will demonstrate this learning by completing projects
- Engages multiple senses through audio, video, images, & text - requires the learner to use all of these to complete projects
- Provides multiple examples and links to definitions & extra help
- It provides introductions, overviews & summaries for each section. Each module is complete in itself. |
| Concerns: |
None. |

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty |
Rating: |
|
| Strengths: |
The layout is well designed making the course easy to navigate and highly accessible. Colorado Libraries 2.0 is very easy to use - Instructions are easy to understand & requires only basic internet knowledge - It is interactive and the design quality is very good with only a few concerns - There are down loadable links for needed updates e.g. adobe acrobat. |
| Concerns: |
The only concern is the background and inks, they are too dark & difficult to see. Use of multiple computers still persists with problem. |
|
|
| Other Issues and Comments: |
Background & link colors in step 5 too dark. They need to be lightened in order to be read easily by multiple computers. The "read more' link is broken in the following text ... A project of Reach! Leading Learning in Libraries read more I may have missed them, but are credits included for the CommonCraft videos? I liked that these were included because they add interest and another learning modality to the already solid content. |
