Evaluation and Observation

Content Quality

Rating: 4 stars
Strengths: The strength of this application is the ease of collaboration for students. It is possible to include audio and video critique/collaboration.
Concerns: no concerns

Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool

Rating: 4 stars
Strengths: Peer review is a sound concept in education and this application will facilitate that.
Concerns: Many aspects are already available elsewhere free. This program's free version only allows participants to join or give feedback. They cannot create peer groups, upload documents or receive feedback. There is a cost ($9.99/month) for that.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty

Rating: 4 stars
Strengths: Easy to use and access the materials and tools. Automatically saves. Allows both audio and visual in premium accounts. Can switch from Free to Premium account from month to month. Has special pricing for corporate, education, and non-profit.
Concerns: The main features - creating peer groups, sending documents for feedback, and receiving feedback - are limited to the premium accounts that cost $9.99/month. Critique comments are not readily seen on page. There are tabs on the left side of the document numbered to coordinate with the highlighted critiqued areas. These must be clicked to read each one. Not as useful in this respect as Tracker in MS Word. Students who are not tech savvy may have some problems with the application.
