Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
This app makes the process of collecting and preparing citations intuitive and straight-forward, modeling best practices while at the same time minimizing user-errors.
It would be great to have a little bit more information for new researchers about the variations between the the different citation types and when to use which type. Also, there is a category labeled "Default" which We are guessing is for MLA citations, but can't be sure. It would be great if that was clarified.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
The ability to scan in the ISBN and pre-populate the entire citation is beyond cool, making this app worth its weight in gold. It is very quick to start a new collection of citations, and for prolific writers needing to use similar citations repeatedly, it's a few taps to access older citations as opposed to typing them in anew.
This app features ads in the free version that are handled elegantly and unobtrusively, but it isn't clear whether the only feature in the Pro version (for $4.49) is the removal of the ads. The website is very lean, and it would be great if it offered information on how to use all of the features in the app and the additional features in the pro version, along with a support page of some sort.
