  1. Discuss the Darwinian Theory of Evolution based on the principle of Natural Section and determine that evolution is the “core theme” of Biodiversity.
  2. Explore and compare the form and function of bacteria, protists and fungi. 
  3. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of plant and animal diversity.
  4. Identify the basic functions of living organisms, including a comprehensive understanding of organismal systems.
  5. Understand ecological interactions between organisms and the environment, as well as energy flow, material cycling and the impact of climate on terrestrial and aquatic biomes.
