Making Industry Meaningful In College (MIMIC) is a multi-disciplinary project that exposes students to simulated business/industry experiences with the goal of preparing them for the workplace. Students in engineering design, electronics and business are placed in teams, called "companies," to design, prototype, manufacture, market and sell a product. This guide, by Dorene Perez, Jim Gibson, and Rose Marie Lynch, presents eight example project plans using the MIMIC model applied to business, technical education, and environmental science.
