How Do Interactions among Earth's Spheres Vary Regionally?
This site, part of Exploring Earth Investigation by McDougal Littell and TERC, examines regional variation among Earth sphere interactions. The investigations "were designed to build students' knowledge of Earth Science conceptsand to raise student awareness of Earth as a system of interconnected components and processes." Here, visitors will find information about geosphere / biosphere interactions, hydrosphere / atmosphere interactions, how humans influence interactions, and regional variations. Many sections have illustrative images and interactive features which help students understand the topics presented, and each section ends with questions for students to further explore. This is an excellent site for any Earth Science classroom as an introductory lecture or out-of-class exploration.
