This e-book is a great resource for students which covers the major aspects of writing they need to develop over time as undergraduates and graduates. Materials cover building a paper from the sentence to paragraph to essay levels, including how to build a thesis statement and what content and structure is appropriate for the different paragraphs in the essay. The book also focuses on appropriate sentence structure and grammar as well as appropriate vocabulary for academic writing. Foundational information on all of these topics is given followed by individual and group exercises. Information given is very clearly written. This is a very good companion to have in an academic writing course. I have no particular concerns to raise on this book. I plan on piloting this with my class next semester, so I will update my comment after that experience. However, it is clear to me in reviewing this book that it is best used in a class alongside additional materials in order to broaden the students' perspectives.
