This data file comes from the Data and Story Library. It contains the 1970 draft data including month, day of month, day of year, and draft number. Students will use scatterplots and correlation to see if there is a relationship with birthdate and draft number. On first glance, there appears to be no relationship, but looking at side-by-side boxplots reveals an interesting twist. The data set is in text format.
