Animations for teaching operating systems
A collection of seven flash animations designed to help students understand a range of topics for an operating systems course. The topics include: instruction execution cycle, process life cycle, a solution to the bounded-buffer problem, an implementation of the bounded buffer problem using a counter variable, atomicity and mutual exclusion problems with the counter solution to the bounded buffer problem and mutual exclusion and process synchronisation with semaphores.
