NASA RESOURCE DRIVEN INSTRUCTION: CLASSROOM OF THE FUTURE

Imagine the wealth of information NASA scientists have uncovered in every field of science over the years. Astounding. Now imagine having that information put to use in the classroom. That’s what the NASA-supported Classroom of the Future program aims to do. The Classroom of the Future is housed at the Center for Educational Technologies®. Since its start in 1990, the program has created curriculum for all ages, curriculum that improves mathematics, science, geography, and technology education in ways consistent with national educational standards. This unique relationship with NASA allows the Classroom of the Future to create high-quality materials that are technology intensive. These curricular supplements incorporate NASA expertise and datasets. For students to thrive, teachers must be equipped with the background, resources, and technological competence to lead. That’s why the Classroom of the Future also provides professional development materials and programs for educators. Of course, Classroom of the Future offerings are well grounded in research too. That’s the NASA approach. That’s the Classroom of the Future approach.
