The Victims Virtual Walkthrough Tour is an excellent medium for assistance in understanding the court systems in England and Wales.  By clicking on a particular type of event (mugging, burglary, murder, drug dealing, etc.), the user views the crime and court through actions of the judge, attorneys, victim(s) and perpetrator(s). Users are able to interact by submitting their choices for sentencing and weight of mitigating and aggravating factors in considering a sentence for the offender.  Upon completion of each scenario, information is provided on why the offender was given a particular sentence.
