This applet simulates a boat traveling across a river. The user can adjust the speed of the water and boat along with the direction of travel for the boat. Colorcoded vectors are displayed and updated for the river velocity, boat velocity, and relative velocity. The relative velocity vector is the velocity of the boat with respect to an observer on the bank (i.e. ground).
